Recruitment for the 2025 Pediatric Endocrine Fellowship Application Cycle
The UF Pediatric Endocrine Fellowship program is aware of the challenges that have and will continue to arise for the upcoming interview season. Our program is part of the national conversation with the Association of Pediatric Program Directors (APPD) and the Pediatric Endocrine Society – Training council and Education council collaboration regarding the topics of holistic application review, changes to the ERAS timeline, and considerations regarding virtual interviewing. We acknowledge that COVID-19 has affected many potential applicants’ ability to complete research projects, participate in service opportunities, take advantage of away rotations, or secure letters of recommendation. We also appreciate the financial stressors that the pandemic has created for many individuals and families. Despite these challenges, we encourage all of those interested in our fellowship program to apply this coming year. Rest assured your application will be reviewed with appreciation for all of the trials and limitations that residents have faced. As an institution, under the leadership of our Graduate Medical Education (GME) office, it has been decided that all residency and fellowship programs based at UF Gainesville will only be offering virtual interviews this year. As our local situation evolves and additional recommendations are made, we will update this site with information regarding application requirements, interview dates, and whether opportunities will exist for in-person second looks. We look forward to engaging with applicants in a safe and meaningful way and embracing creative approaches to introduce applicants to the UF Division of Pediatric Endocrinology, our fellowship program and the beautiful Gainesville community.
