Immune Function Longitudinal

Study Name:  Immune Function and the Progression to Type 1 Diabetes: Project 1; Project 2; Core A; Core B

Principal Investigator:  Todd Brusko PhD

What is the Immune Function Longitudinal Study?

The purpose of this research study is to learn more about the genetics and immune function of blood cells, and viruses in insulin-dependent diabetes. Multiple samples will be collected over time is to investigate changes to the immune system over time.

Who can participate?

  1. Anyone under the age of 18 (with or without Type 1 Diabetes) may participate in this study.
  2. Anyone over the age of 18 who are positive for multiple Type 1 Diabetes antibodies may participate as well.

What will study participants be asked to do?

For this longitudinal study, participants will complete a blood draw at their local Quest Lab every 3 months for up to 2 years. Participants will be compensated for each blood draw.

    Why Participate?
