About Tuyen N Tran

Hi, I’m Dr. Tuyen Tran (pronounced like “To Win Trun” — as in “I’m here to win”) and I work as a Pediatric Obesity Medicine Fellow in the division of Pediatric Endocrinology, University of Florida. My interest in this field stems from a background in biochemistry, early research on apolipoproteins, and clinical exposure to complex obesity cases during residency. I am committed to helping children build healthy lifestyle habits through individualized care focused on nutrition, physical activity, and sustainable behavior change, recognizing that improving a child’s health can spark positive change throughout the family.

As a first-generation immigrant and first-generation physician who is fluent in Vietnamese, I am dedicated to mentoring youth and supporting families from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. I enjoy participating in peer-to-peer mentoring, volunteering at free clinics, and joining community 5K runs to promote wellness.
